  VETERINARY OFFICE MANAGEMENT
  
  I STRONGLY FEEL THIS SCHOOL HAS DONE MANY YOUNG AND OLD PEOPLE LOOKING TO START A CARER IN THE VETERINARY HEALTH CARE INDUSTRY WRONG!
  
  PROFESSIONALISM??? They claim to strive to teach strong and confident professionals but I don't know how this is possible when they tease, ridicule and put down their own students, staff and business colleges. The program is over priced, they tools and textbooks are out of date. We didn't use half of the texts and we received many "textbooks" that were 3 ring binders with 30 pages of photocopied paper - "That will be $30.00 please" OWCH!
  
  My advice to Sharron, Don't put this program on twice a year, that's not fair, maybe once every 3-4 semesters. Never have a non- technician teach your over prices class. There are not enough jobs in Victoria to sustain the amount of graduates you push through in a year. Have your teacher more hands on with the practicum process, and RE-RESEARCH what a new graduate could actually expect as a wage to start ($10-12 to start with the rare exception of a few clinics that will pay up to $16 with some office experience)
  
  Students looking at this program. Research a few clinics you could picture yourself in, Write a really detailed and personalized cover letter, make your resume unique. Offer to do a week of shadowing at no charge so they could feel you out as a team. You do not need this program to work in the front of a smaller clinic. If you want to be a nurse, DON'T BE LAZY, upgrade and go to TRU or Douglas Collage and become a tech. Its not that much more $ and you will not be sorry you did it ( like I am).
  
  All the best to you in your search, also for the potential student, look at the Granville Island School of Business for their program that is very much like this program but shorter and cheaper.
