  ‘Seasoned’ fries for $10! Are you serious? My friends and I had a couple beers there after rugby and just ordered a small plate of fries to get that needed taste of salt. The service was average at best with the waitress complaining that someone wanted to pay for a couple of other people’s beers. It messed up her system. All that is fine but then the ‘seasoned’ fries... they have some salt on them. That is not seasoned in my opinion. That is just a regular plate of fries. There was 1.23 worth potatoes in there as well. How is that $10?? The most I have ever paid for normal fries in my life. I think I’ll drive to Victoria after rugby next time instead of stopping here.

  This is probably the restaurant we go to more than any other in the Victoria area. The seats are comfortable and there are nooks where you can be tucked more out of the way (good for those of us who need a quieter setting to hear the other person talk). The ingredients are high-quality and come from local sources whenever possible. You can read the menu and actually find out where the meat, honey, etc. came from (and it's mostly from island-based farms). I'm hooked on their duck pie, and almost never order anything else, but I've been told their other menu items are also delicious. They really know how to create complex flavours - this is my go-to for quality comfort food. Also the staff there is excellent, the servers recognized us after only a couple visits, and make us feel so welcome.

  Great interiors and ambience but few of the wait staff I’ve encountered over my multiple visits have been impatient with our group. This one time, however, I went by myself for their veggie burger that I love, and this guy who served me was amazingly friendly and an excellent host. Don’t order samosas, they’re highly over priced. Garlic fries are good. Fish and chips is what I order quite often and have not been disappointed. They also have a brunch buffet sometimes, like they had on Mother’s Day this year ($35 per person!!!) But their patio out in the back is amazing.

  I had lunch with a friend on the patio earlier this week. It was so nice out and the service was great! So I had to bring my husband here after a walk around Thetis Lake. And again I was not disappointed! The food was delicious and once again we had the lovely Rachel serve us. The patio is so nice in the evening and the food very tasty. Thank you Six Mile for getting it right! We will be back for sure!

  A happy surprise! This pub serves local, house made fare in a warm atmosphere. The food is fantastic and the restaurant seems to make an effort to be sustainable for both the community & the environment.
