I brought my camera because the pin holding the lens and body was broke and I needed them separated. I was told it was 50$ instead of 25$ diagnostic fee because of the two pieces involved.
Long story short, the VERY condescending repair guy ended up CUTTING and BREAKING the body to separate the two.
Then I was told it wasn't worth the repair costs and that I would be better off buying a new camera. Really?
I then phoned around different camera repair shops, including Nikon directly, and they said a good repairman should do the job without cutting the body. Do I need to say I won't be back?
